Just back online after Hurricane Fiona tore through our region last Friday. Our family is safe and we were lucky to lose power for only three days. Right now, my thoughts are with friends and colleagues in Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland, who were all hit much harder.
I’m feeling very grateful for the loving inquiries from around the world and for the absolute best neighbourhood ever (one neighbour let us shower at her house and store food in her fridge, and another shared their generator to keep our freezer food from spoiling!).
Now that I have power and wifi again, I want to share some important book news with you!
THERE’S GOING TO BE A BOOK LAUNCH!
For those of you who are local, I am going to be having a celebratory book launch in Halifax! There will be nibblies and fancy drinks, there will be books for sale (which I will happily sign!), and my good friend George Woodhouse, who has just released his first full-length album, will be singing some tunes. Woohoo! Mark your calendars!

🧡 My first ever interview about the book is available NOW on the Mike and Kristen Podcast! What a treat to talk to these two and what an honour to be on their show. Their guests are creatives who are following their hearts down non-traditional paths. These two wonderful humans both live and work as artists – Kristen is a painter and a writer and Mike is a musician and a writer. Together, they co-wrote an amazing book called You & Me: Travel, Misadventures, and Love Around the World.

😊 Wherever you live in the world, call your local bookstores (national chains and independents) and ask them to carry the book. The more people who get in touch, the more likely my book will appear on store shelves! Libraries often have an online option, allowing you to make a suggestion for a book you would like them to purchase.
😊 Leave a review wherever you bought your book (Amazon, Indigo, Barnes & Noble, etc) and then hop over to Goodreads and copy and paste your review there. Reviews really help independent authors like me climb the rankings and sell more books! And if you don’t have time to write a review, simply rate it with the stars they offer (from 1-5 stars) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
